In the US, breast augmentation has become one of the most popular forms of plastic surgery. Women who chose to undergo this surgery have reasons that are as different as each individual woman. Self esteem is one of the most common reasons for breast augmentation. A lot of women would like to feel better about themselves by increasing the size of their breasts.
In my opinion, there really is nothing wrong with this procedure as long as the women are doing it for the right reason. It is important for women to know the difference between internal self-esteem and body image. They are two totally different things even if they affect each other.
Women who are confident and self assured about who they are, are the best candidates for breast augmentation. Increasing the size of your breasts is not going to help you, if you aren’t comfortable in your own skin.
If you are considering breast augmentation as a way of boosting self-esteem, then you should think long and hard before you commit to do it. A larger chest may indeed make you feel good for a while. The problem is that you’ll end up feeling exactly the same as you did before the surgery.
Some women also make the mistake of undergoing breast augmentation to please a man. You should never do this for someone else because you’ll end up regretting it. A man is not worth your time if he does not love you as you are. Under going a pricey surgery that will alter how you feel about yourself for the rest of your life is also not worth it.
You have to think carefully about your options if you are considering this major procedure. Make sure that you are pursuing breast augmentation for the right reasons. This way you will make a choice that you will be comfortable with for years to come and you will feel better in the end.
