Skin droops as it ages because the body stops producing proteins called elastin and collagen. This is an unfortunate side effect of aging. After the lower body lift surgeries are complete it’s a good idea to walk around and try to be as mobile as possible. Good blood circulation will help the healing process. About a week after the surgery is performed you will still feel a little bit sore and most likely have an altered routine. In about two weeks you should be able to resume as normal however it’s always a good idea to avoid heavy lifting and strenuous exercise. To be safe, it's always a good idea to follow the directions your doctor has given you.
