Tissue engineered implants are a new form of implant that is currently being developed. In this type of implant, cells are taken from patients and combined with an appropriate scaffold material which produces a TEBI (tissue engineered breast implant). These are beneficial because there is no risk of leakage or rupture and can also last a lifetime.
Before a surgery your doctor will give specific guidelines and checklists on what you can eat, drink, and if you are allowed to smoke. He/she will also advise you which vitamins you should take both before and after the surgery. The surgery will generally be performed in either the doctor’s office, an outpatient facility or at a surgical center.
